InfoComm 2015: Atlona introduces multiple new matrix switcher lines

Atlona has used InfoComm to launch a host of new products introducing new lines of switchers and expanding existing ranges.

Atlona has used InfoComm to launch a host of new products introducing new lines of matrix switchers and expanding existing ranges.

The first of the product announcements is the AT-UHD-CLSO-824, an eight-input, two output 4K/UHD matrix switcher with mirrored HDMI and HDBaseT outputs for classrooms and conference rooms. This is the latest addition to the company’s CLSO series of multi-format matrix switchers designed for commercial and educational use.

“The AT-UHD-CLSO-824 is our most advanced multi-format switcher, and its flexibility to route different video signals to multiple displays makes it an ideal switcher for complex system designs.” said Ilya Khayn, Atlona’s president and co-founder. “The CLSO-824 introduction here at InfoComm also highlights our second major launch of the year, making 2015 our biggest year ever.”

Atlona has also added two models to its UHD-PRO3 series of dual distance HDMI to HDBaseT matrix switchers. The AT-UHD-PRO3-1616M 16 x 16 matrix and the 4 x 4 AT- UHD-PRO3-44M are equipped to handle 4K/UHD at 60Hz with PoE and HDCP 2.2 copy protection. Both new matrix switchers are designed for use in multi-zone applications and home AV systems with distributed audio systems.

“The UHD-PRO3 series has been extremely well-received among our customer base. These two new matrixes will add versatility to the line and offer a valuable feature set not seen elsewhere within the industry,” said Steve Heintz, senior product manager at Atlona. “The combination of HDCP 2.2 compliance, PoE, and multiple channels of audio de-embedding provides a tremendous amount of flexibility and convenience for our partners.”

The third announcement from Atlona concerns the expansion of its line of commercial and residential 4K matrix switchers with the introduction of the AT-UHD-H2H-88M, an 8 x 8 matrix, and the 4 x 4 AT-UHD-H2H-44M. Both are rated for 4K/UHD video at 60 Hz and support content with HDCP 2.2 copy protection. Created with integrators in mind, both switchers also support multiple modes of remote control and can be configured via web browser.

“With these matrixes, system owners can be assured that the matrix at the heart of their system will not need to be replaced as newer standards for 4K/UHD come about,” said Steve Heintz, senior product manager at Atlona. “These are the matrixes integrators want to be installing to handle whatever content their customers decide to play and to operate with their preferred control system.”

The final launch is a new lineup of switchers and scalers with HDMI and VGA transmission over HDBaseT. The four new HDVS models are part of two new series, the HDVS-150 series and HDVS-200 series designed to expand input capabilities of matrix switchers and provide control in AV systems.

“All of Atlona’s products are designed to make our integrators’ installations easier and more efficient,” said Bill Schripsema, senior product manager at Atlona. “Our customers expect a high level of reliability and value from our products, so we packed as many of the features they’ve been requesting as possible into these new HDVS models.”

All products will be available in Q3 this year.
