Turkish d&b distributor Display Sound and Light Systems has established a new showroom and office premises. The need for easy accessibility and enough space to accommodate multiple functions were among the requirements for the new site, which is said to be located in a "very nice, prosperous district" of Istanbul.
Hakan Tamer, president of Display Sound and Light Systems, revealed that the company is now able to call on a facility encompassing a technical service area, project planning space, meeting rooms, management offices, a small warehouse and a demo room.
"If we have learned one thing since we started to represent d&b it's that if you can make a proper demonstration the d&b loudspeaker systems sell themselves," said Tamer. "We had a local architect design the room to be cool with a high ceiling, a bar, and a DJ set-up for our younger clients to directly experience how they want to use a system. And, of course, we are now able to show all but the largest systems in a perfect environment. Delightful and very Turkish."
Display has been working with the brand since July 2000. Since then, a d&b spokesperson told IE, sales turnover in Turkey "has grown steadily".
