HydraConnect, a Denver-based manufacturer of HDMI matrix processors, has introduced the new HSS-3 Matrix Processor for Control4 systems.
The company has also introduced system drivers that will also enable HSS-2 and HSS-3 products to integrate with Crestron, iRule, and RTI home automation systems.
The HSS-3 retains all of the HSS-2 features such as an integrated audio matrix and CEC control to replace IR flashers. It provides 8 HDMI inputs and 8 outputs with built-in HDBaseT transmitters, enabling video display connection up to 330ft away via CAT5e cables. The HDBaseT receivers do not require power supplies, and two of the HDBaseT outputs can be used as local HDMI connections.
In addition, both the HSS-2 and HSS-3 now include HydraConnect LLC's new Dynamic 2D/3D protocol to automatically resolve EDID conflicts with mixed 2D/3D sources and displays.
"We are excited to now offer our Control4 dealers an integrated HDMI video, audio, and control processor with built-in HDBaseT transmitters to simplify their custom installations. Additionally, we are now able to make our products available to Crestron, iRule, and RTI home automation system installers," said HydraConnect CEO, David Schanin.
"We've learned a lot by keeping our efforts focused on Control4 systems over the past few years, but all the HDMI integration and CEC automation tools we have developed are equally applicable to these other systems. Installers will greatly appreciate the simplicity, and set-up automation of our systems, and the ability to all-but eliminate IR flashers."
