Harris to host DOOH session

A briefing by The Screen on the DOOH opportunity presented by stadia will be hosted by Harris at its UK office.

Harris Broadcast Communications has announced that the company is hosting the next installment in the popular series of breakfast briefings by digital out-of-home events group The Screen. Titled “Stadium Media – DOOH & The Crowd”, this half-day session will focus on the world of stadia and arenas, and take place on 18th November 2010 at the Harris European headquarters (pictured) in Winnersh, United Kingdom.

The event will include presentations and case studies from key industry insiders, including Antony Marcou, managing director of UK media rights and sponsorship agency Sports Revolution; Mike Arthur, who was responsible for Harris Broadcast’s implementation at the new Amway Centre in Orlando; and display specialists Jonathan Cooper of NEC Display Solutions and Ross Burling of Barco. Attendees will have time to network, discuss and tour the new demonstration facilities at the Harris headquarters.

“With their vast, highly targeted crowds, sports and festival venues are commanding ever greater valuations for their media rights and sponsorship,” said The Screen chairman and Digital View founder Richard Cobbold. “Sport and entertainment has shown it has the pulling power to transform media platforms, so understanding the opportunities in stadiums is hugely important for the nascent digital out-of-home industry.”

Those interested in attending are asked to contact Lisa Goldstein on 0207 631 2152 or by e-mail at [email protected].
