Garvan and Italian architecture and design company De Jorio Design International create four exclusive speakers for prestigious new cruise ship for the MSC fleet. Garvan Acoustic has partnered with Italian architecture and design company De Jorio Design International, and one of its architects, Luca Mori, to produces bespoke speaker for the new Divina cruise ship.
The design of one of the largest ships in the whole MSC fleet, approximately 140,000 tons in weight, 333 meters in length and 38 meters in width, was assigned to De Jorio, one of the leading design companies in the shipbuilding field. Garvan collaborated in the creation of four very special speakers for the Infinity Pool.
The speakers, integrated into a sculpture created by FP Luxury Art and located in the outdoor swimming pool area on the ship’s bow, are made of AISI 316 stainless steel and designed for nautical applications. The key feature of the speakers is the acoustic lens under the loudspeaker, which enables a top quality 360-degree sound dispersion.
