Four Audio previews new breakout box

The new breakout box from Four Audio has been developed as an I/O solution to meet increasing customer demand for connecting analogue devices to Dante networks.

Four Audio and Audinate are both at Frankfurt’s Prolight + Sound to announce the launch of the former’s DBO1 Dante enabled breakout box. The new box from Four Audio allows the user to go from Dante to analogue signals using a small 1U device. Operation commences once the DBO1 is connected to a Dante network and configured via the Dante Controller. Integrated Dante redundancy mode and 120dB SNR and 18dBu output level means that the DBO1 covers a broad range of applications. Network detection and signal status are visible on the DBO1’s smart front panel display. “Four Audio will attract a lot of industry attention with the new DBO1. Customers are increasingly asking for I/O solutions for connecting analogue devices to a Dante network,” said Dave Anderson, director of sales at Audinate. “Four Audio is providing an easy to use solution that can be deployed across a broad spectrum of use cases.” “Having another Dante enabled product in our portfolio was a simple decision for us,” remarks Rainer Thaden, Four Audio’s managing director. “Seeing more and more products from other Audinate partners gives us great confidence that we chose the right path to go down”
The DBO1 is another Dante-enabled product from Four Audio. Upcoming products will integrate digital outputs and analogue inputs.
