Ostec Enterprise, the biggest engineering company in Russia and the CIS, is a constant user of Flipbox presentation technology from Moscow-based integrator and manufacturer Polymedia.
Today the company has four Flipbox devices, in meeting rooms and the main management office. They are in constant use: the human resources and service department arrange training sessions, the accounting and sales departments make presentations and the marketing department arranges brainstorms. The most commonly used Flipbox functions are drawing, sending materials to all participants, sharing laptop screens and presenting content via USB key.
One of the meeting rooms still has a whiteboard, but this is used extremely rarely. The ability to work on material and save, send or print it convinced even hardened technophobes to start using Flipbox.
Like many Polymedia partners, Ostec first learned about Flipbox at the presentation in May 2012. Andrey Sidnev, leading IT specialist at Ostec, commented: “The integrality of Flipbox is its strong point. It is very captivating. The ability to demonstrate something right from the USB, draw and then print immediately are valuable in everyday work. At that time there was no device like Flipbox and there still is not.”
Ostec was one of the first companies to purchase the device, which was soon integrated on to the corporate network. Ostec often receives foreign guests and representatives of major international companies, and, according to Sidnev, Flipbox impresses them all.
“Flipbox is very showy: you can elegantly connect and show a presentation with a laptop, illustrate the discussion in drawing mode, and print materials. There are no other devices that allow all of this functionality,” he added.
Feedback on Polymedia’s technical support has also been positive, with quick response and, if required, timely arrival.
