eyevis and Wey Tec have installed large screen displays and a Wey Distribution Platform (KVM switching solution) in the dispatching centre of Tiwag, an Austrian hydropower company.
The dispatching centre is located in Tirol, Austria, and oversees the entire energy management of the power plants. This includes the forecasting of inflows to the Tiwag power plants, the prognosis of customer load and an intensive monitoring of the relevant energy markets.
The project includes six screens in two workplaces, four screens in two standby workplaces, and an eyevis videowall consisting of a 3×2 ultra-thin bezel 55in Full High Definition LCD monitors. Additionally, there is a netPIX graphic controller and eyeCON wall management software.
Dipl.-Ing.Mr. Markus Watscher, head of the dispatching centre for Tiwag commented: “Thanks to the new visualisation system from eyevis and the control options made possible by the Wey Distribution Platform in conjunction with Wey multifunctional keyboards, our dispatching centre has become more user friendly and efficient. The modern and efficient equipment creates a working environment which not only enhances productivity but is also comfortable.”
All the PCs and the videowall controller are connected by the Wey Distribution Platform (Workplace Management System). These sources are all controlled by a single WEY Smart Touch Multifunctional keyboard on each desk, and can be displayed on any of workplace screens or the eyevis videowall. Content can be displayed from system cameras, pictures or online information from control systems and television channels.
