Electrosonic has selected Slim Cube Technology from eyevis for a new control centre videowall at a major UK traffic monitoring centre to upgrade the existing 4×2 rear-projection videowall.
The eyevis LED illuminated DLP 50in rear-projection system was chosen because the project required a thin rear-projection cube that can be installed and serviced from the front as there is no rear access available within the existing videowall enclosure.
The EC-50-LHD-SLIM LED illuminated cube, which is to be used for the project, is said to be the slimmest in the world at 422mm deep, including the screen, and can be wall or basement mounted.
eyevis UK managing director Steve Murphy commented: “Electrosonic made their choice after carrying out a detailed technical evaluation of the technology at eyevis HQ in Germany, including the multi-axis electro-mechanical adjustment system.
“The new Slim-Cubes can be used in areas that were, due to space requirements, not suitable for rear projection cubes before and we are delighted to be working with such an internationally-renowned company as Electrosonic.”
