Eaton’s Cooper Lighting and Safety business has launched Combiform Ultra, a versatile recessed luminaire that brings together efficient performance, contemporary aesthetics and the latest T5 fluorescent technology.
The Combiform Ultra’s optical design is a key feature, together with its TPa-rated micro-prism side panels that provide controlled distribution with excellent light transmission and a diffused lamp image.
Allied with the central louvre or feature panel option, this optical performance delivers high efficacy in excess of 60 luminaire lumens per circuit watt (lm/cW), and is compliant with Building Regulations Part L requirements 2014. The three hour maintained emergency operation with self-test function enhances the versatility of the Combiform Ultra range. Air handling through an air bypass is standard on louvre and centre panel variants, providing 25l/s capacity.
The Combiform Ultra features outstanding optical performance, achieving a light output ratio (LOR) of up to 81.9 percent. The use of TPa fire retardant materials is important in preventing flame propagation that is required for compliance with Part B of the Building Regulations. The housing is available with either a central louvre or microprism feature panel or full one piece flat optical panel providing a range of aesthetics to suit the application. Integrated lighting controls options maximise energy savings, user comfort and control.
Lamp and control gear options include a 14W high efficiency (HE) T5 fluorescent 4000K G5 cap, while a 24W high output (HO) T5 fluorescent 4000K can be made to order. Energy efficient high frequency control gear is provided as standard, together with dimming options including DALI, DSI and 1-10V.
Premium materials have been used for the body in the welded, full-box-steel construction, and powder coated in a RAL9016 white finish. The louvre is made from Xenoptic grade satin finish, zero iridescence anodized aluminium. The opalised panels are made from TPa-rated, flame-retardant polycarbonate that is fully compliant with Part B of the Building Regulations.
Suitable for a wide range of ceiling structures including: exposed ‘T’, concealed fix and some metal pan ceilings, standard bearer arms accommodate 20mm to 62mm supporting grid heights.
EasiCheck and Intellem self-test emergency versions are available, reducing maintenance costs and offering ease of compliance with testing requirements.
