The new 100in dnp LaserPanel projection screen made its world debut at the Indoor Soccer Centre (ISCG) in Groningen, the Netherlands, selected to enable the venue to screen live events in its sports café. This is the world’s first dnp LaserPanel solution installed in a public venue.
The project was not straightforward as challenges included constant bright artificial lighting, and long periods of operation every day.
Consultant John Goedegebuure from JG Enterprises was brought in to work with ISCG, dnp partner xScreen Interactive and digital advertising company, CS Digital Media.
Initially, four 50in screens had been planned, but ISCG felt the single 100in dnp LaserPanel created greater impact, with its high-contrast optical screen. It also offered the same HD (1080p) image quality as LCD/LED alternatives in 16:9 format, very competitive pricing and the essential long-term reliability.
