Digital signage provider announces 10-year deal with Swedish railway subsidiary

Leading European digital signage provider ZetaDisplay has announced a 10-year delivery agreement with SJ Norge, a subsidiary to the Swedish state-owned railway company, SJ, to provide on-board digital signage solutions for the railroad wagons that will operate across seven routes in Norway.

“This project will enhance the on-board guest experience through the provision of real-time information, enhanced entertainment opportunities and dynamic pricing and offers for the food and beverage services. It also opens up a new revenue stream for advertisers,” said Ola Saeverås, ZetaDisplay country manager for Norway.

“In recent years, we have been focusing on complicated assignments in the transportation sector, where we have built a strong reference bank ranging from concept development, software requirements to hardware skills and system surveillance.”

ZetaDisplay is the largest digital signage provider by market share in the Nordics, has nine global offices and installations in over 50 international markets. The company has been through a period of rapid expansion through the acquisition of seven companies, allowing them to provide a full-service solution for out of home communications, designed to influence behaviour in retail environments, public spaces and within corporate communications.

Per Mandorf, president and CEO for ZetaDisplay added: “We are driving digital transformation processes in physical environments and we are very proud of the confidence that SJ shows us to be part of the company’s journey ahead.”
