ProDVX Europe, the Dutch display manufacturer, has integrated Sennheiser’s MobileConnect solution into its Android Panel PCs, enabling devices to display the unique QR codes of MobileConnect Stations. Users can scan the code with the MobileConnect App to access assistive listening or other local audio streams without additional setup or technical support.
MobileConnect is a smartphone-based audio accessibility system designed for inclusive listening in education and enterprise settings. It consists of three main components: the MobileConnect Station, which delivers low-latency audio over Wi-Fi to up to 100 connected smartphones; the MobileConnect App, which allows users to personalise their experience and use features like Audience Mic to give feedback; and the MobileConnect Manager, which provides centralised control and scalability for multi-room or campus-wide deployments.
The ProDVX Android Panel PCs, available in sizes from 7in to 32in and running Android 13, are commonly used for interactive digital signage applications such as room booking, self-service kiosks and visitor management. The devices are designed for commercial-grade reliability in enterprise and campus environments.
Charlie Jones, senior partner relations manager at Sennheiser Business Communication, said: “At Sennheiser, we are committed to making every learning experience more inclusive. This collaboration with ProDVX makes MobileConnect even easier to access within higher education and enterprise environments, ensuring that assistive and interactive listening is available to anyone who needs it, in just a few simple steps.”
Michael Theophanous, sales manager at ProDVX Europe, added: “Our devices are designed for 24/7 use, enhancing user interaction, and by adding direct access to MobileConnect, we’re helping institutions create spaces that are more connected, accessible, and engaging for everyone.”
