PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips professional TV and digital signage solutions, has been named the market leader in the Nordics for the first time, as a result of sustained growth and record sales in the region.
According to the latest official industry figures from respected research firm, DMR AS, PPDS has seen its market share surpass that of its nearest competitors, reaching a commanding 36% at the end of Q1.
The figures, which cover sales in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, cover a range of product categories within the commercial TV market, including 4K UHD, FHD and HD, and show that PPDS’ market share during this period was almost four times higher than that of Sony and nearly double that of Samsung.
“The figure is testament to the hard work invested in our team through a challenging period,” said Mikael da Fonseca, sales director, Nordics and Baltics at PPDS. “Our products are designed to bring change and exceptional value to our customers, whether it’s a professional TV in a hotel room, or an interactive display in a university lecture theatre. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved so far but we are not about to get complacent. The best is yet to come.”
