Emirates store adds smart mirror to enhance shopping

Interactive solution detects products and displays alternative options

The THAT store, a futuristic shopping experience located at the Mall of the Emirates, Dubai, has incorporated the Mirandda Smart Fitting Room solution, developed by Spanish digital signage software manufacturer, ICON Multimedia.

Equipped with Smart Mirrors – a digital solution provided by Blue Rhine Industries, a leading provider of digital and static signage and system integration solutions in the UAE – the fitting room solution features an interactive experience that automatically detects (via RFID technology) products brought into the room by the customer, instantly displaying alternate size and colour options, plus matching item suggestions. Requests for items can then be made in the fitting room, which are communicated to staff via a smartphone app.

The Smart Mirrors support the omnichannel strategy of this new concept store, which aims to attract customers to physical areas, creating 360º shopping experiences in its facilities to increase sales.
