AV Stumpfl’s new production hall doubles manufacturing capacity

Decision to open the 2,200sqm facility at its headquarters in Wallern an der Trattnach, Austria, was fuelled by growth of sales in the US

AV Stumpfl has opened a new 2,200sqm production hall – which doubles its manufacturing capacity – at its headquarters in Wallern an der Trattnach, Austria. The company marked the landmark with its entire team at the AV Stumpfl family festival this summer.

The decision to open a new facility was fuelled by growth in the United States – one of AV Stumpfl’s major sales markets. More than ten years ago, AV Stumpfl established a US subsidiary in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then, US operations have continued to thrive.

Last year, AV Stumpfl invested in new equipment for a second production line and welcomed 20 new team members. But until now, the team was spread out across various parts of the building.

With the opening of the new production hall at the HQ, workflows can now be organised more effectively.

Stefanie Niederwimmer, head of AV Stumpfl’s projection screens division, said: “The construction of this new hall marks not just another major milestone in our company’s history but also an investment in the future of our team.

“We are a company defined by innovation and quality, but we always place our people at the centre of everything we do. It’s all about preserving a positive working environment – full of light and space – where everyone feels comfortable and can truly reach their potential.”

The hall is fully operational and the company is now looking further ahead. Tobias Stumpfl, CEO, concluded: “We have some exciting ideas for further developing our site, which we like to think of as a place of strength. We believe in taking one step at a time. For us, it’s not about growth for growth’s sake – it’s about holistic quality.”
