Crestron has appointed collaborative technology expert Patrick Stewart-Blacker as EMEA director of unified communications.
With over fifteen years’ experience as a consultant, Stewart-Blacker is described as having a unique human-centric approach to AV – looking at user needs and benefits and adapting technology to meet those requirements.
He will be heading up Crestron’s new EMEA unified communications initiative. The initial focus will be to reach out to major end users and make them aware of the different solutions in this area – in particular Crestron RL, which brings Microsoft Lync to the meeting room.
“I am delighted to have joined Crestron, a world renowned and industry leading company,” said Stewart-Blacker. “I am passionate about bringing users the right technology and I firmly believe that Crestron’s portfolio will enable me to achieve this.”
He will be working closely with other key UC manufacturers and partners to develop and strengthen working relationships and drive growth across the EMEA region.
“Patrick’s experience, drive, and proven track record within our industry will be a great asset to the company,” said Robin van Meeuwen, CEO of Crestron EMEA. “We are excited to have him on board and look forward to seeing what we can achieve together.”
Most recently, Stewart-Blacker was managing director of SB Project Solutions, working as programme manager on a major City of London-based refurb project for a major bank, as well as completing the final parts of a very large AV rollout in Canary Wharf. He has also been a project director at IVC Media and at Cordless Consultants, managing director of Project Perfection and operations manager at AVM. Additionally, he has six years’ experience in the British Army as an officer in the Scots Guards.
