Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup is to equip the state opera house in Unter den Linden in Berlin with audio and stage management technology as part of a full refurbishment. An Aurus mixing console (pictured) and Nexus audio network will be among the equipment to be supplied for sound editing and routing. The opera house stage management technology will be PerformanceCeTRL, featuring three stage management desks, two of which are from the INSPIration series which had its debut earlier this year.
Audio technology for the building will be provided by the Berlin branch of Salzbrenner Stagetec in a joint venture with the media technology systems house Amptown System Company. In this joint venture, Amptown is responsible for video and sound reinforcement as well as project management. The opera house is currently undergoing complete refurbishment and is expected to remain closed throughout 2015.
This is not the first time the Mediagroup has worked with the Berlin State Opera: in 2010, the Berlin Schillertheater, temporary home of the state opera, chose a Nexus audio network and a Stage 300 system for stage management.
