Barco has partnered with AED Studios to create the Barco Virtual World at AED Group’s HQ in Lint, Belgium. The 1000sqm hall offers visitors a virtual experience through a visual setup driven by ten of Barco’s high-brightness HDX-W20 projectors.
The projectors, which each offer 20,000 lumens of light output, project images onto a 90m screen with a total of 17,000 pixels. The Barco Virtual World is within AED Group’s expansive 55,000sqm Eurocam Mediacentre. The site is home to an extensive range of film studios each offering an enormous array of multifunctional possibilities. “The studios perfectly complement our rental, sales, repair, logistics and leasing businesses,” commented Glen Roggeman, CEO of AED Studios.
“When buying the studios, we immediately dreamt of converting one of the halls into a unique ‘Virtual experience’ space, in order to underscore our commitment to state-of-the-art AV technology. As technical partner Barco was happy to help AED Studios to push the limits of projection and corporate event infrastructure to create a unique experience for AED’s customers.
