Barco has released the new ‘ClickShare Inside’ option for its Present range of projectors, opening up the collaboration capbilities of its ClickShare system to projector presentations.
ClickShare Inside can be integrated under the hood of a Present projector – where space has been reserved – allowing users to wirelessly share their content on-screen. The ClickShare Inside option consists of a CSM Base Unit and an integration kit containing a bracket and three cables – HDMI, USB to RS-232, and a power cable – and can be integrated and neatly hidden under the hood of the projector. This enables meeting participants to share content via the ClickShare Button or by installing the ClickShare Present app on their Android or iOS smartphone or tablet.
The new collaboration tool is the first such introduction under the company’s latest Intelligence Inside concept, which aims to offer future-proof and simple collaboration technology.
The grand unveiling of the new option will take place at this year’s ISE show in Amsterdam, with shipping beginning Q2 2014.
“When developing our brand-new Present projectors, we wanted them to be fully future-proof and to have ‘Intelligence Inside’,” commented Peter Pauwels, director market Development Corporate AV at Barco. “That’s why we’ve reserved some free space under their hood for extra connectivity and networking add-ons. ‘ClickShare Inside’ is the first optional module we are launching within this ‘Intelligence Inside’ concept.”
And with the new update of the Button Manager software – available for download from 20 January onwards – users will be able to pair their ClickShare Buttons via their laptop as well as via the Base Unit’s USB port.
