Barco introduces ultra-narrow bezel LCD displays

The displays feature Barco’s SenseX technology, which provides automatic colour and brightness calibration to ease videowall calibration.

Barco has expanded its videowall display options with the launch of three new ultra-narrow bezel LCD displays, which the company believes offer the smallest bezels in the industry at 3.5mm. The 46in OverView OVD-4621, 55in OVD-5521 and KVD-5521 feature redundant remote power supplies and automatic colour and brightness calibration.

The full HD LCD panels emit light outputs of 700 and 500 cd/m². The range has been designed for a wide range of applications, such as control rooms, broadcast, signage, meeting rooms and rental & staging.

Recalibrating an LCD videowall has traditionally been known to be challenging, requiring specialised training and tools. To ease recalibration tasks, Barco has introduced the unique SenseX automatic colour and brightness calibration technology. The solution uses built-in sensors within each panel to accurately detect the brightness and colour performance of each screen in real-time. Then, using Barco’s unique algorithms, SenseX automatically calibrates each LCD panel to the desired levels to achieve a uniform video wall display. The calibration process can be run in the background without disrupting the image on the wall, resulting in a very uniform and stable image over time. The SenseX technology is based on Barco’s years of experience as the global market leader in deploying large video walls.
