Sonos launches UK integrator event for new multizone amp

UK distributor Habitech hosted two days of hands-on training in London for the Amp Multi – which is designed for professional installers – ahead of its wider UK availability later in 2026

Sonos has launched its Amp Multi amplifier in the UK through a two-day event held on 3rd and 4th March at Material Source in Farringdon, London. The event was hosted by UK distributor Habitech and aimed at professional integrators, featuring half-day sessions combining live demonstrations and technical training.

Designed for the professional installation sector, Amp Multi is intended to support complex multizone audio projects within the Sonos ecosystem. Attendees heard from Stephen Rhead, professional manager for UK and Ireland at Sonos, and Zanis Mantarikis, senior manager of product marketing at Sonos, who travelled from the US for the event and was involved in the product’s development.

Seymour Forsyth, managing director at Detail AV, said: “This long-awaited Sonos product for the custom install market promises to deliver more than the sum of its parts. It offers a cooler running, equally powerful and more compact alternative to traditional rack-mounted individual Sonos Amps, or Ports feeding into a third-party multi-channel amp. It also provides flexible assignable speaker outputs, Sonos’ ProTune parametric EQ and Zone features, along with the legacy alarm and sleep functions.”

Rhead added: “Seeing integrators experience the new Amp Multi, ask insightful questions, and envision how it can elevate their multizone installations reaffirmed exactly why Sonos built this product.”

Amp Multi is due to become more widely available through Sonos installation partners later in 2026.
