Daniel Sennheiser will become chairman of the board of directors at Sennheiser Group from January 1, 2026, following more than a decade of joint leadership with his brother Dr Andreas Sennheiser as co-CEOs. The change will see Andreas Sennheiser continue as CEO, leading the company’s operational business together with the executive management board.
The new structure, the company says, is intended to better align long-term strategic direction with the day-to-day demands of the audio specialist’s global operations. The Sennheiser Group says it remains a family-owned company, now in its third generation, and continues to focus on sustainable and independent growth.

In his new role, Daniel Sennheiser will concentrate on the strategic development of the company and further strengthening key customer relationships.
Daniel Sennheiser, currently co-CEO, said: “By joining the board of directors, I will concentrate more on the long-term development of the company and on continuously strengthening key customer relationships. I will continue to work closely with my brother Andreas in his role as CEO and with the existing executive management board.
“I look forward to this next chapter of our family business, which has successfully evolved over three generations. Progress means shaping change positively – both for me in my new role and for Sennheiser as a company.”
Dr Andreas Sennheiser, who will continue as CEO, added: “This new structure enables us to combine day-to-day business with strategic foresight, which is crucial for the future success of the Sennheiser Group.”
Daniel Sennheiser succeeds Andreas Dornbracht, who has served as chairman of the board for the past four years. Dornbracht will remain on the board as a member. Other board members include Iris Epple-Righi, Stephan Plenz and honorary member Prof Dr Jörg Sennheiser.
