Contacta establishes new Oceania distribution partnership

UK leaders in assistive listening technology announces a new partnership with Australian and New Zealand distributors, AVW Group

Contacta Systems, UK leaders in assistive listening technology, has announced a new partnership with Australian and New Zealand distributors, AVW Group. The relationship sees Contacta’s range of hearing loops RF, IR and window intercom systems available to AVW Groups’ customer base and was established following the withdrawal of previous partners, Exertis Pro AV, from the territory. The new partnership will see Contacta’s radio frequency and infrared assistive listening systems available to customers in the region for the first time.

With almost 40 years of experience in the sector, AVW Group works with a range of world-leading AV and broadcast brands plus solutions providers. AVW Group is one of the long established players in the region, comprising eight offices which together cover all six Australian territories and the whole of New Zealand.

Former Exertis Pro AV team members, Nick Cocks and Brad Eather, have taken up roles with AVW and will continue to represent Contacta as senior customer sales and relationships manager and customer sales and relationships manager respectively.

“This is a fantastic partnership for us.  Contacta’s reputation precedes them and we are excited to introduce our customer base to the full range of Contacta’s products,” said AVW Group managing director, Murray Hunt. “Nick and Brad’s knowledge of Contacta’s portfolio will allow us to hit the ground running and deliver a first-class service in what is a growing sector of assistive listening technology.”

Contacta have a 52-year history in the assistive hearing sector. The Kent-based company design, manufacture and install a unique range of high quality British-made products worldwide.

Head of business development at Contacta, Ran Meyrav, added: “We are delighted to be working with Murray, Nick, Brad and the team at AVW. From our initial discussions the professionalism and knowledge base were evident.  We found an immediate understanding and common goals.

“Australia and New Zealand is a key region for us.  We have seen a growing demand for our products over recent years and are confident in the success this partnership will deliver.”
