Audio-Technica microphones to make UK debut at InstallMarket

Audio-Technica is to showcase several of its new installation-specific microphone models for the first time in the UK at the InstallMarket conference on 4 September, which takes place at the Business Design Centre in London. Alongside the mics will be a selection of key audio and acoustic treatment products from Audio-Technica’s distributed brands, Allen & Heath and Vicoustic.

Among the highlights will be Audio-Technica’s ATND971 Cardioid Condenser Boundary NetworkMicrophone. Introduced earlier in 2014, the microphone is said to bridge the gap between audio and IT as the first wired microphone that transmits audio and control data together over Audinate’s Dante network protocol. The microphone can communicate via an Ethernet cable across an existing network of Dante-enabled devices and – with the microphone’s programmable user switch – control any of those devices at the push of a button. The solution is designed for boardrooms and other meeting spaces.

Elsewhere on the company’s stand will beAudio-Technica’s digital infrared wireless conference system, the ATCS-60. It delivers an easy-to-use, modular solution for installers and users, with excellent signal security due to its infra-red design. Wireless transceiver delegate mic units allow configuration flexibility and can be used in manual or automatic modes and with up to four channels for multi-lingual meetings where translation is required. Voting units and reach-extending transmitter/receivers can also be added to existing ATCS-60 systems, making it a remarkably cost-effective and scalable system.

A selection of models from Allen & Heath’s extensive catalogue will also be in exhibited Install Market. With typically high-performing Allen & Heath preamps, 24-bit converters and fixed DSP on-board, the iDR-8 matrix mixer is frequently specified for use in demanding audio installations where ease of use and reliability are of paramount importance – it will appear alongside the company’s MixWizard4 “industry standard” 19in mixer, and PL-6 and PL-10 remote mix controllers.

Visitors to InstallMarket will also get a chance to learn about Vicoustic’s comprehensive range of acoustic treatment panels. Designed to provide flexible and elegant solutions to acoustic challenges faced by installers, Vicoustic’s range of wall and ceiling-mountable products are widely in educational establishments, offices, restaurants and hotels throughout the world.
