ISE 2014: A family of mixer/switchers from Analog Way

The Analog Way Midra mixer/switcher family comprises six products that offer a broad variety of connectivity options. All come in 2RU enclosures for optimised air circulation and cooling of the devices.

Analog Way is showing off its new Midra line of mid-range mixers/seamless switchers at this year’s ISE. The Midra series consists of six products: Eikos2, Saphyr, SmartMatriX2, Pulse2, QuickMatriX, and QuickVu. All come in 2RU enclosures for optimised air circulation and cooling of the devices.

The products offer a broad variety of connectivity, with up to 10 seamless inputs and 16 input plugs including DVI-D, HDMI and 3G-SDI. Analog Way’s CleanCut effect allows all Midra series switchers to seamlessly switch between any of their input plugs without fade through black or loss of sync. EDID management is now standard for all computer sources.

To fit any display resolution, including non-standard formats such as LED walls and rear-projection cubes, the Midra switchers offer custom output format management.

Up to seven layers are available. The new Quick Frame function places a foreground frame over all other layers when necessary. A simple button push allows return to the previous display. The Pulse2 also includes smart functions such as a direct source swap and split screen.

To ensure better processing and quality of audio, the Midra generation of mixers/seamless switchers includes advanced audio management.

At ISE, some models of the Midra series are being controlled through the RCS graphic interface. As an AIR application, the RCS2 is compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Linux. Some units will be controlled through Analog Way’s RK-350, a new remote keypad designed for the Midra series.
