Panasonic announces new Solid Shine LCD laser projectors

Unveiled at AVID 2021, the latest eco-friendly range will be available from May

Panasonic Visual Systems Solutions has announced that its PT-MZ880 Solid Shine series of LCD laser projectors, unveiled at AVID 2021, will be available from May. Intended for the corporate, education and museum sectors, the new series is an update of the PT-MZ770 range.

The series features PT-MZ880 (8,000 lm), PT-MZ780 (7,000 lm), and PT-MZ680 (6,000 lm) WUXGA models, boasting refined Multi-Laser Drive Engines for the optimal balance of high brightness, vivid colour, and low-maintenance operation.

Projector highlights include built-in edge blending functionality to enable seamless images across multiple screens. The series is also compatible with a new Panasonic zero-offset Ultra Short Throw zoom lens, scheduled for release in Autumn 2021, ideal for creating immersive viewing experiences in venues such as museums.

Energy consumption is around 20% lower than previous models, with the Washable Eco Filter and failover-protected Multi-Laser Drive Engine delivering an estimated 20,000 hours maintenance-free.

Crestron Connected, Art-Net DMX, and PJLink compatible, the projectors are ready to integrate and future-proofed with 4K input capability. The series supports Panasonic’s Multi-Monitoring & Control Software, featuring optional Early Warning functions to streamline device management and enhance system reliability. The Smart Projector Control app enables On Screen Display menu adjustment in standby mode and intuitive control from compatible smartphones and tablets.

“This versatile new Series of projectors, and its UST Zoom lens, enables users to be ultra-creative in their use of space – delivering superb quality images across single or multiple screens in a wide variety of environments,” said Hartmut Kulessa, European marketing manager at Panasonic Business.
