Sony has introduced a new 98in dual-sided kiosk display solution built around its BRAVIA BZ53L 4K Professional Displays, designed to deliver large-scale, high-visibility signage for indoor environments. Developed in partnership with Celexon and connectSignage, the floor-standing unit is aimed at retail, corporate and educational applications where full-height, life-size content can make a strong visual impact.
At the centre of the system are two 98in BZ53L displays mounted in portrait orientation, back-to-back, on a Celexon-engineered support structure. Each screen delivers up to 1,500 nits of brightness, which Sony says allows for clear playback even in high ambient light conditions. The display uses the company’s Deep Black Non-Glare technology, combining anti-reflective coatings and a low-reflection surface to reduce glare and improve contrast across wide viewing angles.
Content playback is managed via a platform developed by connectSignage, which offers a no-code, GDPR-compliant CMS. Hosted in Germany and marketed as climate-neutral, the software is designed to allow 24/7 control and playback across both displays without the need for programming skills. According to the companies, the combined solution supports automated content scheduling and integrates with leading control platforms.
The complete unit stands at 220cm and is supplied with Sony’s Premium Support package, which includes a three-year warranty.
Jens Gehring, director of brand business at Celexon, said: “Together with Sony, we were able to develop a visually high-quality stele that can be set up impressively and prominently in any showroom or at any POS. The display and mount form an elegant unit. On-site setup is easy, with no drilling dust or installation noise.”
Patrick Schröder, chief growth officer at connectSignage, added: “Digital signage works when content can be created and implemented without much effort and without programming knowledge. With our connectSignage software and Sony displays, which seamlessly support the leading automation and control platforms, it’s all child’s play.”
Noelle Giesselbach, trade and segment marketing manager at Sony Europe, said: “With this solution, we are working with our partners to show what premium digital signage can do and how easy it is to implement such systems. It takes visual messaging to a new level and enables retailers and businesses to create real eye-catchers on an impressive display area.”
The kiosk solution will be available from September 2025 in Germany, with wider availability under consideration.
