Samsung has introduced a 115in 4K Smart Signage display (model QHFX 115in), described as the world’s largest LCD screen, with the first launch taking place in the US. With anti-glare QLED visuals and integrated speakers, the display is aimed at high-impact spaces such as flagship stores and conference centres.
The manufacturer says the unit is aimed at commercial environments requiring high visibility and performance, including auditoriums, corporate spaces and retail flagships.
The display delivers 1,000 nits of peak brightness, 4K QLED resolution, and features over 10,000 local dimming zones. Samsung states that the screen achieves 93 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and includes anti-glare treatment to maintain clarity across various lighting conditions.
Housed in a slim chassis just 34.1mm deep, the QHFX 115in includes a 16:9 aspect ratio, 60W built-in speakers and supports up to four simultaneous content feeds via its multi-view functionality. It can be mounted in either landscape or portrait orientation and is powered by Samsung’s Tizen 8.0 operating system.
The unit is compatible with Samsung’s Visual eXperience Transformation (VXT) platform, a content and device management system which allows remote control and content deployment across multiple locations. VXT is designed to streamline centralised signage operations, with support for Tizen Enterprise APIs enabling system integration.
David Phelps, head of display division, Samsung Electronics America, said: “In today’s digital-first world, businesses are eager to provide immersive experiences that captivate consumers. Our super-sized Smart Signage brings a new standard for large-scale display, offering powerful audio-visual performance at a price point that opens the door to innovation.”
Samsung said the QHFX 115in display builds on its previous 105in model, but uses around 50 percent less power. The company describes it as a product intended to “captivate audiences through eye-catching visuals and crisp audio quality”.
