LG Electronics has announced the integration of Megapixel’s HELIOS LED Processing Platform into its existing MAGNIT ProAV Series MicroLED displays (LSAP series). This update is designed to provide enhanced control, colour management, and diagnostics capabilities to the established display line.
The HELIOS platform, already known in the industry, adds features such as real-time mapping, multi-user control, hyper-speed seam correction via game controller, and built-in monitoring and diagnostics. This integration aims to improve the user experience and operational reliability of LG’s MicroLED offerings in professional AV environments.
In addition to this integration, LG is expanding its all-in-one direct-view LED (LAAA series) portfolio by adding new 163in and 136in MAGNIT All-In-One 4K models. These new displays come with embedded controllers, integrated speakers, and support for LG’s webOS smart platform.
The LSAP MicroLED displays remain available in three pixel pitches – 0.78mm, 0.94mm, and 1.25mm – with enhancements including higher refresh rates and improved colour reproduction.
LG has also introduced a new cabinet design across the MAGNIT ProAV series, which it says improves structural integrity and simplify installation.
Michael Kosla, B2B senior vice president at LG Electronics USA, said: “Our new LSAP MicroLED displays are important innovative additions to our existing range of LG MAGNIT models. With Megapixel’s HELIOS processing platform, these LG MAGNIT displays have the capability to utilise powerful UX and UI functionalities, providing system integrators and end users with even more control and an excellent overall user experience.”
Jeremy Hochman, CEO of Megapixel, added: “Our HELIOS platform enables security and stability with crucial monitoring capabilities, and our superior colour management pipeline ensures perfect content reproduction all the time.”
The new LAAA All-In-One models feature a Quad Core System on Chip (SoC) to handle multitasking and smooth content playback, alongside LG’s webOS platform, which boasts tools such as an SDK and the Signage Common Application Platform (SCAP) to simplify app development for integrators.
