Leyard Europe has announced the arrival of the Planar Simplicity P Series, a new, high-resolution, digital signage, streaming and media-playback display unit.
The Planar Simplicity P Series is designed as an affordable solution that supports 24/7 usage, offering up to 500-nits brightness in 43, 50, 55, 65, 75 and 86in sizes. There are also fully integrated multi-touch models for all sizes, featuring 20 simultaneous touch points and fine tip stylus support for interactive experiences.
Leyard says the displays are suitable for almost any application, from digital signage or wayfinding to emergency messaging or up-to-the-minute advertising.
The screens follow cybersecurity certification, developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), making the entire range more secure against large-scale cyberattacks that target smart devices.
Mountable in horizontal and vertical orientations for expanded usability, the touch screen, interactive models further enhance functionality for applications requiring collaborative elements, such as presentation, annotation or end user engagement.
The Planar Simplicity P Series is Energy Star certified, identifying the range as a solution that reduces running costs and electricity consumption. If displays are not required to run 24/7, automated scheduling enables devices to run media playback only when required, further enhancing energy efficiency.
The Planar Simplicity P Series is fully compatible with Creston, Q-SYS and Control4 systems, making it easier for system integrators to install large format displays, while reducing programming time for complex AV projects.
Robert Detwiler, senior director of product management and training at Planar, said: “Planar has a longstanding history of delivering reliable display solutions that withstand extended or continuous operation while presenting exceptional visual performance. Introducing 24/7 usage for the Planar Simplicity P Series builds on this reputation. We’re excited to enhance the performance of a go-to product for customers and help make even more demanding digital signage applications possible.”
