Kramer has launched VIA Connect 3, a wireless presentation and collaboration system designed to support hybrid work and education environments.
The device delivers 4K presentation capabilities and wireless connectivity in a 9x9cm form factor. It is designed to allow iOS, Android, Chromebook, PC, and Mac users to connect to displays without dongles or additional software, supporting AirPlay, Miracast, and browser-based connections.
The system supports 4K video streaming and conferencing integration, the company says. Users can wirelessly connect to in-room AV equipment, cameras, and microphones, whilst a calendar widget provides access to scheduled sessions.
VIA Connect 3 features 1024-bit encryption, 802.1x network authentication, and dynamic room codes, backed by third-party security certification. Dual wi-fi allows access point, Miracast and LAN connection simultaneously, with hardwired LAN providing configurations designed to keep internal networks secure.
The device provides cloud-based management through Kramer’s VIA Site Management (VSM) software, allowing IT teams to deploy, monitor, and update devices remotely.
Theo Van Nierkerk, VIA product manager at Kramer, said: “VIA Connect 3 is all about collaboration with simplicity, speed, and security. With enterprise-grade encryption and cross-platform compatibility, it provides IT managers and users with the flexibility and confidence they need in today’s hybrid spaces.”
The system includes 2.4GHz/5GHz wi-fi with MIMO antennas, collaboration tools including whiteboard and file sharing, and RTMP/RTMPS support for live streaming platforms including YouTube, Kaltura, and Panopto. The compact unit can be mounted behind displays or projectors.
