KGEAR has introduced two new IP65-rated additions to its compact loudspeaker range – the GH4 Marine and GH8 Marine – expanding the brand’s offering into marine and other weather-exposed applications. Based on the original GH series, the new models are designed to deliver environmental resilience for outdoor AV installations.
Part of the K-array ecosystem, both loudspeakers build on the acoustic profile and form factor of their predecessors, with enhancements aimed at improving durability in challenging environments. Each unit is housed in a corrosion-resistant stainless steel enclosure and designed to meet the demands of the luxury marine market, as well as high-end residential and hospitality installations.

The GH4 Marine features a 4in full-range driver with a dual-coil neodymium magnet. With a 16Ω impedance, KGEAR says it offers flexible system configuration options for integrators. The loudspeaker also incorporates KGEAR’s cabinet geometry to support controlled audio dispersion, which the manufacturer says is particularly beneficial for open-air or acoustically reflective settings.
The larger GH8 Marine adopts an 8in full-range dual-cone driver and is engineered for higher SPL output – up to 129dB per unit, according to the company. Its cardioid dispersion pattern is designed to minimise rear sound radiation, helping to reduce unwanted reflections and energy loss. As with the GH4 Marine, its IP65 rating provides protection against water, dust, and salt, extending usability to harsh outdoor conditions.
Lorenzo De Poi, brand manager at K-array, said: “The marine and high-end outdoor markets demand a unique balance of performance and elegance. With GH4 Marine and now GH8 Marine, we’ve taken our proven audio technology and engineered it to excel in demanding environments such as the luxury marine and outdoor residential market, where durability and design go hand in hand.”
Both models are supported by a new range of marine-grade accessories, including the K-WALL2LMINI Marine wall mount and a ground stake, offering multiple rigging and installation options.
De Poi added: “There’s a growing demand for audio systems that deliver premium sound without disrupting the aesthetics of high-end spaces. GH4 Marine and GH8 Marine answer that call, offering reliability, exceptional flexibility, and high-performance audio that stands up to even the harshest conditions.”
