Aurora launches USB-C AVoIP transceiver

VPX-TC1-UCP combines 4K60 4:4:4 video over 1G networks with PoE++ power distribution and dual USB-C charging, targeting conference rooms, huddle spaces and education environments

Aurora has launched the VPX-TC1-UCP, an AVoIP transceiver designed to consolidate video distribution, data transfer and power delivery into a single unit over a standard 1G network. Aurora will demonstrate the product at InfoComm 2026 in Las Vegas, June 17-19, at booth AUR732.

The device is designed to transmit 4K60 4:4:4 video using Aurora’s Mimix technology, which the company says delivers near-lossless image quality with sub-2ms latency. It can be configured as either a transmitter – switching between two HDMI and two USB-C inputs – or a receiver switching between local HDMI and IP streams.

On the power side, the unit uses PoE++ to deliver up to 60W of laptop charging via USB-C, while simultaneously providing 15W to a second USB-C device or RJ-45 PSE output. An optional 240W adapter unlocks 100W per USB-C port for more demanding workstations. Aurora says a single USB-C cable handles 4K video, high-speed data and power delivery simultaneously.

The VPX-TC1-UCP also includes a Dante/AES67 bridge for audio routing to professional sound systems, and USB ports running at 270Mbps that are fully routable as host or device.
