"I am very pleased to be able to make this appointment and I have full confidence in Steven's ability to fulfil his role as managing director," commented David Barnes, chairman of TV One. "I am positive that this will ensure the continuing growth and success in the future of TV One."
Mattingly was previously general manager of TV One's European offices, a role that he took up in August 2004 when the company acquired Vine Micros.
Contemplating his new position as MD, Mattingly told II: "I look forward with great enthusiasm to designing, developing and implementing the strategic plan for TV One in the next phase of the company's growth. Being responsible for both the day-to-day running of the company and developing business plans for the long-term future of the organisation is a great challenge that I embrace wholeheartedly. The past few years have seen TV One brand awareness grow in both the pro AV and broadcast markets. I now intend to take this forward to ensure TV One becomes a world leader in both markets."
