Schaffner joined Riedel in 2018 and has been central to developing its managed technology division across North America, most recently serving as programme manager for the division’s regional expansion. In the new role, he is tasked with leading growth across the Americas, with a focus on sustainable expansion, local market alignment, and operational excellence.

Lutz Rathmann, CEO of managed technology at Riedel Communications, said Schaffner was well placed to bridge the company’s technology offering with the realities of the US market. “Having already helped establish our Managed Technology activities in the region, he is the right person to continue building the business locally together with our customers and partners,” he said.

Schaffner added: “Rather than copying models from other regions, we are working closely with customers and partners to develop solutions that match how the market operates and where it is heading.”

The division has established operational bases in Los Angeles and Concord, North Carolina, supporting activity across sports – particularly motorsports – and live events.
