Reflex has announced the return of Andy Read as sales and marketing director, a role he originally held over 20 years ago.
Read has enjoyed a long career in AV, one that started at Reflex in 1985 when he joined the company as a graduate engineer, progressing to sales and marketing director by 1993.
His subsequent career includes launching the Plasma Screen Company in 1997, senior roles at CRT, Just Lamps and Diamond Lamps, and latterly Stampede. He also set up an AV marketing consultant for a short while.
On his reasons for returning, Read explained: “The solution sales side of the AV business is one that I enjoy and have always wanted to get back into. Having followed the fortunes and success of Reflex over recent years, I’ve seen what an excellent reputation they hold within the system integration sector. When this opportunity came up, I wasn’t about to pass it up!
“I’m impressed by the way the company operates, and with the future vision and plans that William Jepps and the company management team have set out. It’s exciting to be a part of that.”
William Jepps, Reflex’s MD added: “It’s great to have Andy re-joining the board of directors together with Crispin Piney, Mike Atkinson, Andy Brymer and myself. He will bring a fresh pair of eyes to the business, coupled with his many years of experience gained within different businesses in the AV channel. With Crispin now fully devoted to his role as business development director, I’m confident Andy can help to fulfil and accelerate the company’s growth plans.”
