Q-SYS appoints Rob Sherry to lead UK team

Rob Sherry is promoted to regional director, northern and eastern Europe, and managing director, UK and Ireland. Concurrently, Duncan Savage will be promoted to VP and general manager, APAC

Q-SYS, a division of QSC, EMEA, has announced the appointment of Rob Sherry, pictured, to regional director, northern and eastern Europe and managing director, UK and Ireland. Concurrently, Duncan Savage will be promoted to vice president and general manager, APAC.

Sherry joined the company in September 2020 as sales manager, in the relatively early days of the UK business. Having worked in large venue live sound applications for several years, the company says Sherry increased engagement and grew the systems business, and as a result, he was recently promoted to sales director.

Markus Winkler, executive vice president, EMEA & APAC, Q-SYS, said: “Rob’s experience in guiding the ever-expanding sales team and continuing to advance the UK business stands him in good stead to lead the UK team into this new stage of maturity. I look forward to seeing the future continued development of our business in the UK under Rob’s leadership.”

He added: “It is an exciting period of change, and we must express our gratitude to Duncan Savage for his dedication to growing our UK business to where it is today. We look forward to seeing him flourish in his new role in APAC.”

Sherry commented: “I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to lead the UK team and continue to grow the business. Q-SYS has a great amount of potential, and we have a lot more to discover. As we grow and develop as a platform solution, I look forward to guiding our incredible team to expand the horizons of what can be achieved in our industry.”

On handing over the reins, Duncan said: “Rob’s wealth of experience, enthusiasm and maturity will be a great asset in continuing to guide the UK business on its growth trajectory. I am excited to see what this next chapter has in store for him and the UK team.”
