Philips names new head of entertainment lighting

Philips Lighting has announced the appointment of Philips executive Colin Kavanagh as the company’s new head of its entertainment lighting business.

Kavanagh will take on this new role as head of entertainment lighting with immediate effect, which will see him relocating to Dallas, Texas.

He is tasked with growing Philips Lighting’s presence in the entertainment sector, specifically with lighting for a number of sectors including theatres, festivals, and theme parks.

Kavanagh has extensive commercial and technical experience and a strong background in Design for Excellence (DfX), Concurrent Product Development (CPD), lean manufacturing and Voice of the Customer (VoC) in fast time to market industries.
