New president for Sennheiser Installed Sound division

From the 1 August, Peter Claussen will take over responsibility of the Installed Sound business division at the audio specialist.

Effective from 1 August 2011, Peter Claussen will take over responsibility of the Installed Sound division at Sennheiser. The 47-year-old marketing and sales professional joins Sennheiser from IT company Höft & Wessel. His last post at the company was as deputy chairman of the management board.

With the Installed Sound division, Claussen is taking over a young division that Sennheiser has only recently introduced as part of its new corporate structure and which has until now been provisionally led by Heinrich Esser. As divisional president, Claussen will become a member of Sennheiser’s Executive Management Board. In his future post, Claussen will be responsible for Installed Sound technology. His core responsibilities will include the operative business and the strategic development of the Installed Sound division, with the task of guaranteeing that Sennheiser addresses the many and various customer demands even more successfully in this product area.

“I’m really looking forward to this new challenge, as the Installed Sound area is increasingly becoming a systems business. I can therefore apply my extensive experience from the IT sector to firmly establish Sennheiser’s position in meeting the market requirements in the long term,” explained Claussen. Before joining Sennheiser and before his time at Höft & Wessel AG, Claussen worked for seven years in various posts at Hewlett-Packard in Germany and the US.
