Jon Alkhagen – whose extensive communications experience includes stints at Allgon and Ascom Wireless Solutions – has been appointed to helm both Lab.gruppen and its subsidiary Lake brand.
After graduating with an M.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Uppsala University in 1996, Alkhagen went on to play influential roles with a number of global telecommunications companies, including Allgon, where he variously served as design engineer, project manager and overseer of R&D activity. Most recently, he was employed at Ascom Wireless Solutions, a company focused on ‘mission critical’ communications solutions.
Reflecting on his new appointment, Alkhagen commented: “Lab.gruppen is a brand that is known throughout the world for its superior design and build quality in all of its products, and the brand itself and the history behind it are part of the reason this position was so attractive to me. Likewise the Lake name has become synonymous with the cutting edge of digital audio processing in the touring and live sound arena, carrying with it peerless credentials and impressive brand loyalty.
