Wireless content sharing and collaboration solutions company Mersive Technologies, is significantly growing its footprint in EMEA. Following the appointment of Jeff Meyer, as EMEA general manager last autumn, it has hired the first two of a projected six-strong customer facing team in the region. It has also greatly expanded its distribution network, with seven new partners in territories where it currently doesn’t have a direct presence.
Meyer commented: “Mersive Solstice wireless collaboration and meeting room solutions have gained significant traction in Europe already, and we are eager not only to serve our existing customers better, but also to reach out to the many potential users that don’t already know us. We plan to have three regional sales managers and three sales engineers in Europe together with a local value added distributor for every market.”
Mersive named Chris Charran as the regional sales manager for the UK and Ireland; he is supported by Martin Shrimpton who has been appointed as sales engineer. Chris Charran joins Mersive from Kramer Electronics and has eleven years’ experience of business development in the UK AV industry. Martin Shrimpton brings significant technical and customer experience of collaboration solutions to Mersive, having spent over 20 years in customer support and sales roles at videoconferencing leader Polycom.
Meyer is actively seeking regional sales managers and sales engineers to cover DACH, and the French speaking parts of Europe.
At the same time, Mersive has expanded its network of value added distributors with seven new appointments. These are NMK in GCC/Middle East, Crambo in Spain, Prase in Italy, Imago Sonas in Denmark, SimpleAV in Poland, CBK in Norway and IMS in Russia. They complement the six distributors that already stock and support Mersive Solstice in EMEA.
Meyer emphasised that Mersive distribution partners will play a key part in its ability to service customers in the region: “Not only do our partners hold stock of Solstice Pods ready for immediate shipment, but they are also a valuable resource for customers with technical and other queries. We carefully select the best partner in each geography that has the motivation and expertise to provide a great experience for Mersive customers.”
