A Lawo employee since 1985, Rainer Litfin (pictured) now occupies the position of director of sales for Germany/Austria. The appointment of Litfin – and that of a new sales director for North East Asia – is said to reflect the continued growth of the German console company and its products’ sustained worldwide popularity.

An expert in many areas of Lawo production – from hardware manufacture to configuration – Litfin transferred to the sales department in 2003, working with German and international customers for 2003 before taking on a Germany/Austria brief in 2006.

Lawo’s Wolfgang Huber told IE: “The constantly growing product range and the dynamics of the broadcast market require new strategic orientation and focusing on the strong German/Austrian market. The new position of sales director for this region allows a better co-ordination of all sales activities, the optimal personal support for Lawo customers and, thus, leaves more space for the acquisition of new clients. Rainer Litfin is the direct contact person for external as well as internal processes; close co-operation with customers and product management allow effective and fast action with regards to the constantly growing and changing needs of the market.”

In the other new appointment, Gregor Erlitz – a Lawo employee of five years – has been given the role of director of sales for North East Asia.
