Lawo has further strengthened its team of product managers with the addition of Axel Kern in the role of senior product manager on air radio.
Prior to this move, Kern was most recently product manager at Soundcraft Studer in Switzerland where, among other tasks, he was responsible for Studer’s OnAir mixing consoles. Before entering the broadcast industry he studied at the Technical University of Ilmenau, Germany, and graduated with a Diploma in Media Technology.
“I am looking forward to new challenges at Lawo,” says Kern. “Lawo is playing an increasingly important international rôle, and it is very exciting for me to contribute creatively to this success.”
Since the end of 2009, Vincenz Riffeser has been reinforcing Lawo’s product management. In November 2010, this former junior product manager mc2 series became product manager routing systems, responsible for Lawo’s Nova matrix series.
Before his move to Lawo, Riffeser worked in Ireland as a senior AV installation engineer, and then as project manager for a well-known AV engineering office and contractor. The background for his professional career included a course at the Robert Schumann University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf, Germany, where Riffeser achieved a degree in Engineering for Audio and Video Technology.
These product management positions at Lawo became vacant after Ulrich Schnabl, the previous senior on air and routing systems product manager, joined the general management team, taking on the recently created position of executive assistant to the CEO.
