Lawo has announced the appointment of Jamie Dunn as chief executive officer of Lawo. Dunn joined Lawo in 2011 and has served on the Vorstand – Germany’s legally mandated executive management board – as deputy CEO since 2024.
As CEO, Dunn is expected to shape the continued development of the Lawo Group, drawing on his long tenure with the company and experience in global markets.
Jamie Dunn, CEO of Lawo, said: “Lawo’s strength has always been rooted in its people, its partnerships, its values and its commitment to innovation. I am honoured to lead the next chapter of this company. These are exciting times, and there are significant opportunities ahead.”
As part of the leadership transition, Philipp Lawo steps down from the Vorstand of Lawo and joins the company’s Supervisory Board, a move the company says is intended to strengthen corporate governance by more clearly separating management and control functions.
Lawo’s management board now consists of Dunn (CEO and Vorstand), Claus Gärtner (CFO and Vorstand), Andreas Hilmer (CMO), Christian Lukic (CSCO), Phil Myers (CTO) and Ulrich Schnabl (COO).
Michael Sonnabend, chairman of the Supervisory Board, added: “These changes reaffirm our confidence in Lawo’s management structure and the strong collaboration within the management team. This transition is designed to ensure the company’s continued stability as we look to the future.”
Under its current management team, Lawo says it has navigated global market challenges whilst accelerating its transition towards IP- and IT-based audio and video media infrastructure. “This management team has consistently demonstrated its ability to define, execute and deliver on the company’s long-term strategy,” Sonnabend noted.
Philipp Lawo will continue to support the company’s development from the Supervisory Board and, as the sole Vorstand of Lawo Holding AG, will retain responsibility for the strategic direction of the wider Lawo Group.
