Prominent UK residential distributor Habitech is widening its channel focus with the appointment of James Lakeman as new business account manager across non-residential reseller channels.
Lakeman, who has worked in IT distribution for the past nine years, will focus on building relationships by maximising the performance potential of existing client projects, while supporting both new business and account management functions.
With many of Habitech’s vendors now offering product applications beyond the residential market, he will be exploring opportunities within the leisure, hospitality, pro audio and corporate sectors for proven, scalable, network-related solutions. Examples include Wyrestorm’s Network HD video-over-IP platform, LaunchPort’s inductive iPad charging systems, iPort’s surface-mount platform for iPad, and Sonance’s Professional Series speakers.
WyreStorm’s Network HD is said to represent a cost-effective, highly scalable and easy-to-deploy solution for 1080p matrix switching and videowall applications. Touch App control provides intuitive user navigation, with native Enado compatibility where more comprehensive source control is required.
iPort’s surface mount platform for iPad combines an iPad mount and IP keypad to deliver iPad apps with an array of hard-buttons wired to network switches for immediate access to the primary functionality of third party control systems from the likes of AMX, Crestron and Savant.
Sonance’s recently launched Professional Series includes a range of 70V, 100V, 8Ω selectable in-ceiling, pendant and surface-mounting speakers for larger-scale audio distribution applications, delivering seamless, scalable audio integration through consistent voicing, extremely low distortion, wide dispersion and a smooth power response.
