AV integrator Reflex bolsters project management team

AV systems integrator Reflex has added two project managers to its existing team of three. The new members both have backgrounds in the AV industry, with experience of contracts reaching millions of pounds.

Reading-based AV systems integrator Reflex has appointed two new project managers to oversee operations on large-scale installations. Joseph Bonds comes in having worked previously within engineering and integration roles across a number of AV resellers, working on contracts worth up to £2.2 million. Paul Stevens (pictured) initially began his work within the automotive industry, joining the AV industry in 2005 in the home and commercial installation market. His experience covers videoconferencing, HD distribution, networking, CCTV, lighting and control systems. Both report to Mike Atkinson, director of fulfilment. Atkinson explains that the project manager’s role at Reflex is to ensure large projects are installed safely, to the customer’s satisfaction, and within the agreed timescales and budget. “It sounds like a straightforward requirement, but we have found our project managers are critical to the successful delivery of major contracts.” A recent example where Reflex’s project management skills helped to secure a major piece of work was the €1 million pan-European contract with non-profit academic organisation Climate-KIC. Commenting on the two new staff members, Roland Dreesden, Reflex MD observed: “The project manager is a lynch pin on any large contract. They provide a central communication point, are accountable for all aspects of the finished job, and give clients real peace of mind. There is no doubt that this role has become essential in recent years and it’s an area of our business that we continue to invest in.”
