Advanced Systems Group (ASG), a provider of enterprise AV, broadcast, and IT solutions based in Emeryville, California, has appointed Peter Thordarson to the newly created role of technical account executive.
Thordarson brings nearly 40 years of experience in broadcast media engineering, management, and enterprise production. In his new role, he will act as a dedicated client advocate and technical advisor, helping clients align their workflows with technology solutions and industry best practices.
Claudia Souza, chief innovation officer at ASG, said: “Peter’s deep engineering experience allows him to guide clients on complex broadcast and AV workflows. He will be a key resource in ensuring our teams deliver transformative solutions that optimise both technology and business outcomes.”
Thordarson has previously held senior engineering and operations roles at Microsoft, FOX Network, FOX Sports, DirecTV Sports, and Ericsson (MediaKind), where he led initiatives in digital-first events, IP workflows, and software-defined production. He joins ASG to help enterprise and production clients modernise workflows and embrace emerging AV and broadcast technologies.
