InfoComm 2018 Preview: A quick chat with Powersoft’s Francesco Fanicchi

Ahead of InfoComm 2018, AVTE had the briefest of chats with some of the leading exhibitors about the importance of the show and a sneak preview of what to expect

Company: Powersoft

Name: Francesco Fanicchi

Title: Brand Director

Why is it important for your company to attend InfoComm?
InfoComm, and overall all AV and systems integration shows, like ISE or NAB for naming a few, has grown so much over the past years and the fact that the show is expanding continuously demonstrates the positive trend in the AV and systems integration industry. That reflects the strategy of Powersoft that in the last three years has launched three new amplifier platform lines Ottocanali, Quattrocanali, Duecanali – effectively eight, four and two channel products, using the same DSP platform as well as the same means of digital audio transport [Dante].

AV and systems integration shows like InfoComm, therefore, are attractive for visitors who look for solutions in fixed install, and they are the right “floor” for meeting AV professionals, understanding their needs and offering solutions that can match with their requirements. I do believe that what really makes a tradeshow successful is a perfectly balanced interaction between visitors and exhibitors. It is a simple matter of demand and offer: what solution the visitors are looking for and which ones are made available by the exhibitors. All the rest (networking, taking the temperature of the industry, educational etc.) follows from that.

During this year’s InfoComm exhibition we are launching several new products targeted at the fixed installation and OEM markets as well. New products include a significant extension of our successful two-channel amplifier platform, Duecanali, as well as our renowned M-Force transducer, which brings unprecedented power and integration possibilities to an increasing number of OEM partners. The Duecanali 804 and 4804 are the latest additions in the Duecanali platform, which is perfectly suited for retail, leisure and hospitality fixed istallations that require both pristine and reliable sound. The Duecanali 804 offers 2 x 400W and represents a lower total power solution for installations in retail, as well as bars and restaurants where a single two-channel amplifier is required — without the need for additional channels or power. The range is completed by the existing Duecanali 1604 launched last year, which sits between the two new products in the Duecanali.

What can people expect from you at the show?
