Wireless interpreter systems featured

New for ISE from tour and travel guide systems company Meder CommTech is the company’s new range of wireless interpreter systems. They join Meder’s existing range of solutions designed for applications such as company and museum tours, city walks, boat cruises, bus excursions and conferences.

The new interpreter systems are said to offer instantaneous translation, to be easy and flexible in use and require no installation.

Meder’s group guiding systems see each participant being given a receiver, allowing participants to receive commentary. The sensitivity of the system has been designed with the aim of allowing the guide to speak in a low voice, avoiding the possibility of disrupting other visitors in typically quiet environments such as museums. The TourGuide offers 30 channels, while the TravelGuide offers 15. Both systems can be customised to include, for example, a company’s logo. Both the TourGuide and TravelGuide are supported by charging racks of different capacities.

Founded in 1981, the German company, which has distribution in a number of European and Asian countries, notes that it specialises in creating tailor-made solutions to unique customer problems. It also has experience and expertise in local community networks, control centres and working with the emergency services.
